The Jawa Report Attacked by Terrorists

Take that infidel! I have tried to visit The Jawa Report a few times in the last week with no luck. Did Dr. Rusty Shackelford quit blogging? No! Cybeterrorists Attacked The Jawa Report: A Distributed Denial of Service attack was directed at our site by Turkish Islamists irritated at a series of posts we ran making fun of the violence that erupted on the heels of a false story claiming that guards at Guantanamo Bay had flushed a Koran down a toilet. Those posts were later discovered by a Turkish Islamist who then posted links about them at an Islamic chat room...With the Jawa Report now effectively shut down, I again return to the main question posed by the tongue-in-cheek Koran desecration post: Can Islamic societies be tolerant of religious criticism? No, Islamic societies cannot be tolerant of religious criticism. The punishment for religious criticism in most Islamic countries is death. However the punishment for pissing off terrorists online seems to be a Denial of Service attack. A little less harsh, but really annoying. I'll miss The Jawa Report while it is down, but you can still get your daily jawa fix at their backup site. Update: The Jawa Report is back!
