Vindicated ! Or is he ???
The AP is reporting that Karl Rove WILL NOT be indicted in the so-called "FBI leak case".Top White House aide Karl Rove has been told by prosecutors he won't be charged with any crimes in the investigation into leak of a CIA officer's identity, his lawyer said Tuesday. This is certainly good news for the White House, not to mention Republicans in general. However.... Democrats, on the other hand, had no reason to cheer the development.Howard WHO? Oh yeah....screamin' Howard, who has done little to capitalize on the Republicans' stumbles over the last 6 months or so. And now it looks like the window of opportunity may be closing. Bush's approval rating (which, I agree means dick, but the Democrats seem to follow them closely) has gone from 31 in May to a whopping 38 now, just a few weeks later...and that's on news of Zarqawi's death, not even with this latest news about Rove. You just KNOW that the Democrats are already plotting how to spin this latest news. They already have managed to get the MSM to downplay Zarqawi's passing as the death of a "made-up enemy" and have tried to raise questions about American troop inpropriety because *gasp* Zarqawi WAS alive for 50 minutes after the bomb blasts and those evil troops MIGHT have tortured him to death, don'tcha know.... At any rate, I'm laying my money on the theory that the Democrats will spin this as yet another conspiracy in a long line of conspiracies revolving around Bush. See (as the story will no doubt go), BushCo leaned on the independent prosecutor with political pressure to clear Rove, regardless that he's SURELY guilty as sin. You just watch. God help me, I'm beginning to think like they do. |
